Fraud Alert
Last updated: June 2, 2026
1. Stay vigilant
Fraudulent actors may post fake job offers or impersonate recruiters to collect money or personal data. HireNest works to remove suspicious listings, but you should always verify opportunities before sharing sensitive information.
2. Common warning signs
Be cautious if an employer asks for upfront payment, requests banking details before an offer, uses personal email only, or pressures you to act quickly. Legitimate employers typically do not ask for fees to apply or schedule interviews.
3. Protect yourself
Research the company independently, confirm the recruiter's identity through official channels, and never share OTPs, passwords, or payment details with unknown contacts. Meet employers through verified company pages on HireNest when possible.
4. Report suspicious activity
If you encounter a suspicious job listing or message, report it immediately through our contact page or email security@hirenest.app with the job link, company name, and a brief description of the concern.
5. Our response
Reported listings are reviewed promptly. Confirmed fraud is removed and associated accounts may be blocked. We may cooperate with authorities when illegal activity is identified.
